Applying Enterprise Configuration Settings on Installation

Serna Enterprise Configuration Settings (ECS) can be applied together with the installation of Serna:

  1. Put the sernaConfig package in the same directory as the Serna installer.

  2. Run the installer.

  3. Perform the installation, as described in Installation Guide.

    The installer will automatically apply the settings from sernaConfig. The config-template.xml from the sernaConfig directory will replace the one coming in the distribution.

    Important:

    If you wish to discard the configuration parameters that you configured with config-template.xml, copy the backup files config-template-orig.xml and config-template-orig.ent to config-template.xml and config-template.ent thereafter.

Note:

If there are users who already used Serna of the very same version on the same computer, they must refresh their configuration settings:

  1. Choose Tools > Preferences > General tab.

  2. Click Reset to factory settings .
