Changing External Conref into Local Conref

To change an external conref into a local conref, do the following:

  1. Click the conref in the ContentMap.
  2. Call up the Change External Conref Dialog.

    To call up the Change External Conref Dialog, choose DITA > Insert External Conref or click the Insert External Conref button on the toolbar.

  3. Select the target location.

    To change the external conref into local, click the Local Conref tab.

  4. Specify the target of the local conref.

    In the Change Local Conref Dialog, select the target from the Targets list.



    Note:

    You can see the list of available targets in the current document.

    To filter the targets by type, select a type from the Show types drop-down list.

  5. Click the Change button to change the conref.
  6. Click the Close button to close the dialog.
    Note:

    You can also check the Close on Change checkbox, and then click the Change button.
