Changing the Target of Xref from External to Local

You can change the target of an xref from external to local.

Do the following:

Place the cursor in the xref.
Call up the Change External Xref Dialog.
To call up the Change External Xref Dialog, choose DITA > Insert External Xref or click the Insert External Xref button on the toolbar.

The Change External Xref Dialog will appear.

Select the target location.
To change the target of the xref from external to local, click the Local Xref tab.
Specify the target of the local xref.
In the Change Local Xref Dialog, select the target from the Targets list.

Note:
You can see the list of available targets in the current document.

To filter the targets by type, select a type from the Show types drop-down list.
Click the Change button to change the xref.
Click the Close button to close the dialog.
Note:
You can also check the Close on Change checkbox, and then click the Change button.
