Drag&Drop from External Applications

You can drag-and-drop content from Microsoft® Office Word or a web browser window into a DITA document. The content will be automatically converted to valid XML structures.

To drag&drop some content from an external application into a DITA document in Serna, do the following:

Select what you want to drag&drop.
- Select what you want to drag&drop in Microsoft® Office Word.
- Select what you want to drag&drop in a web browser window.
Drag the selection to the desired place.
Drag the selected content into a DITA document opened in Serna and drop it at the desired place in the ContentMap or the Editing Window.

Note:
Serna shows you where dropping of the dragged content is allowed.

If you drop on the ContentMap item, the content is dropped at the beginning of this element (before its content if any).
