DITA documents are published with DITA Open Toolkit V1.4 that requires installation of Java not older than J2SE v 1.4.2_08. For instructions, see Installing Java on Windows and Installing Java on Linux.
DITA documents can be published to HTML and PDF format. Publishing to PDF can be done either with FOP out-of-the-box or with Antenna House XSL Formatter.
To publish a document, do the following:

Call up the
Publish Dialog.
In Serna, choose .

Specify the output format.
In the Publish Dialog, select the publishing output from the Publishing output drop-down list.

To publish HTML, select HTML.

To publish PDF with FOP, select PDF.

To publish PDF with Antenna House XSL Formatter, select PDF(with AH).

Specify the output filename and location.
In the Write to field, you can specify the output filename. You can use the Browse button to specify the output file location.

Publish the document.
Click the Generate button.

View the published document.
When the script ends, click the View button to view the published document.
