Normally the toolbars are located under the menus. However, they can be moved to other positions, torn off or even hidden. All the commands performed through the toolbar buttons can also be performed through the Menu bar.
- To display/hide a toolbar, check/uncheck the menu item.

To change the position of a toolbar, click and drag it.
The toolbars may differ depending on whether there is an opened document or not as well as on the type of the opened document and the authoring mode.
The possible toolbars are as follows:

Document Toolbar lets you
create/
open/
save/
print/
publish documents,
undo/redo operations,
cut/copy/paste,
find&replace,
check spelling, revalidate documents, call up help documentation and
element help.

XSLT Parameters Toolbar lets you switch
XSLT Parameter Sets.

Element Toolbar lets you
insert/
rename/
split/
join elements and
edit elements' attributes.

Insert Toolbar lets you insert
internal and external entities,
symbols,
XInclude,
comments and
processing instructions.

Zoom Toolbar lets you zoom documents.

Redlining Toolbar lets you
redline documents and
revise redlining.

Custom Content Toolbar lets you create, edit and insert
custom content.

Table Toolbar lets you create and edit tables.

DITA Toolbar lets you insert topicrefs, local and external xrefs, conrefs, and related links.
Important:All versions of Serna support DITA. However, DITA usability tools, which facilitate the insertion of common DITA constructs, and reference navigation are available in the Enterprise edition and the trial version of Serna only.
